I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad.
It’s a depression. Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their job.
The dollar buys a nickel’s worth, banks are going bust, shopkeepers keep a
gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there’s
nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end to it. We
know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit
    watching our TV’s

Wow, reading the comments I’m very glad to see that the point of this movie
has gone over almost everyone’s heads! Everyone watches this scene and goes
“Yeah, we need to get mad! Everything’s fucked up! We gotta get mad!” but
if they actually watched the movie, they’d realize that the character Fitch
plays is the problem itself, as this is a satire on sensationalist media.

Get it now? He’s evoking strong emotions in his viewers, getting them to
blindly follow his cause. It’s called /sensationalist media/. Now, I’m not
one of those “wake up, sheeple!!!” types, because I think it’s blindly
cynical to think that everyone but you and a few hundred others is blind to
the truth or some shit, the world doesn’t work that way. But, well…

Maybe you should just watch the whole movie. It’s a masterpiece. You might
    actually get the message.

“And slowly the world we’re living in is getting smaller, and all we say is
‘pleease, at least leave us alone in our living rooms.”

“Kraska estimates that total number of SWAT raids in America jumped from
just a few hundred per year in the 1970s, to a few thousand by the early
1980s, to around 50,000 by the mid-2000s.” – Huffington Post article:

I think this is what it seems to be, the Truth. Not some fancy bullshit
satire on whatever, everything he says is true and happening right now. We
    are all slaves.

the money trail.. Also watch ” Zeitgeist” and the 2 follow ups to it..
they are eye openers.. and they all make me mad.. mad as hell

  24. Comment by Rob Lovegreen:

Anger is a great motivator for positive change. What you can tolerate in
your life, you cannot change. Sometimes you need to get mad at your current
circumstances and say “enough is enough” and mean it. That is if you truly
    want change.

  25. Comment by Zeit Geist:

It is so ironic that these words are from a jewish Hollywood-Movie…
Do they actually make fun of us?
